Jarmo Ropponen is an Industry Advocate driven by the customer value creation and delivering on commitments with high execution power, passion and drive. He has over 37 years of experience and know-how gained in global IT, pulp, paper and fibre industries in many leadership roles i.e. Business Management, Sales and Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, Account and Partnership Management

 

 

 

 

Heikki Hannukainen is the CEO of Toihan since 2014. He holds a Master of Science degree from Aalto University in environmental technologies within the pulp and paper industry. Hannukainen works closely with the industry to improve wastewater treatment efficiency.

 

 

 

 

 

Álvaro Andrés Gómez Rodríguez is a Senior Venture Capital Manager at Suzano Ventures, responsible for the entire startup investment and value creation journey, from sourcing to business development and portfolio management. Prior to this position, Álvaro worked as Open Innovation Manager at Suzano, structuring and developing programs linked to entrepreneurial ecosystems that accelerate innovation and digital transformation. Álvaro has over 20 years of experience in big corporates, holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a postgraduate degree in project management and an Executive MBA from Insper in Brazil.

 

 

 

Matthew Callicott has worked in the pulp and paper industry for 11 years, with 8 of those years spent building and implementing digital tools to enhance the manufacturing process. He has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from Emory University.
