A Unique Forest Excursion for International Students to Nemus Futurum – Discover the Secrets of the Finnish Forest
The Finnish Forest Products' Engineers Association (PI) is organizing a forest excursion on Tuesday, September 2nd for international bachelor, master’s, and doctoral students as well as postdoctoral researchers. This trip offers a unique opportunity to explore the richness and diversity of Finnish forests at Metsä Group’s Nemus Futurum in Lohja.
The excursion is especially designed for those who want to learn more about Finnish nature and ecosystems, as well as get familiar with forest management practices and principles of sustainable development in Finland.
A joint transportation from Espoo to Nemus Futurum will be arranged. Both the transportation and the event are completely free of charge for participants.
The preliminary schedule:
12:45 Departure from Otaniemi
14:00 Light refreshments (coffee/tea and something sweet) at Nemus Futurum
14:30 1st and 2nd groups' tour at Nemus Futurum (in two busses).
18:00 Return to Otaniemi
~ 19:00 Back at Otaniemi
