In October, the first biography of Aleksander Lampén will be published, written by Heikki Kähkönen and Jyrki Paaskoski.
Finnish Forest Products Engineers Association (PI) – formerly known as the Finnish Paper Engineers’ Association – was founded in 1914 under the leadership of Aleksander Lampén and Ilmari Stenbäck. To celebrate PI’s 110th anniversary in 2024, the association launched a project to publish the first-ever biography of Aleks. Lampén. The authors selected for this special work are journalist Heikki Kähkönen and Adjunct Professor, PhD Jyrki Paaskoski (on the left, photo: Pia Paalasvuo).
We warmly invite all PI members and anyone interested in the topic to the book launch event of “Lahjakas Aleks. Lampén” on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 13:00 to 16:00!
The event is free of charge and will be held at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre in connection with the Helsinki Book Fair.
