Student Coordinator at Aalto University – Puunjalostusinsinöörit ry
We are looking for an energetic and proactive Student Coordinator for Aalto University to join the team of Puunjalostusinsinöörit ry (PI). In this role, you will represent PI on your campus and act as an important link between students and working life within the forest products industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Representing Puunjalostusinsinöörit ry at student events at Aalto University (e.g. events organized by guilds, clubs, or student associations)
- Assisting in organizing PI events in your university area
- Communication and marketing tasks, including event-related communication and social media
- Acting as a contact person between PI and students at Aalto University
Requirements
- Ongoing university studies in forest products technology or a related field (e.g. chemical engineering or process engineering) at Aalto University
- Membership in one of Aalto University’s partner guilds/clubs (Puunjalostajakilta, Prosessiteekkarit, or Puumekanistikerho)
- Interest in the forest products industry and enthusiasm for promoting the field to other students
- Good command of Finnish and English
- Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in influencing and public speaking
Considered an Advantage
- Good IT skills, especially proficiency in MS Office applications
- Experience in communication or marketing through work experience or student organization activities
Employment Details
The position is fixed-term (1–2 years) and part-time (approximately one day per week, excluding May–August). Work on campus mainly takes place during February–March in the spring semester and September–November in the autumn semester. At other times, coordinators are expected to assist with communication and other tasks related to PI events.
PI’s office is located in Otaniemi, Espoo, but the Student Coordinator will mainly work locally on campus. Working hours and tasks are flexible and may vary significantly depending on your level of activity. Coordinators are compensated financially for hours worked.
