The Finnish Forest Products Engineers’ Association (Puunjalostusinsinöörit ry, PI) is looking for a part-time content creator – for example, a student – to produce video content for social media. In this role, you will get to create innovative content, develop your skills, network, and gain behind-the-scenes insight into the forest industry. Take a look at PI’s TikTok account @puunjalostajat to see what kind of videos have been produced so far.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Creating TikTok and Instagram videos based on existing concepts, as well as developing your own innovative ideas together with the PI team.
- Being responsible for videos from start to finish: ideation, scripting, filming, editing and finalising. The PI team will support you throughout the process.
- Appearing as the face of PI in videos, both in Finnish and occasionally in English.
- Depending on your experience and interests, also taking photographs, for example at events.
- Potentially assisting with other communications, marketing and event-related tasks.
This role is for you if:
- You are confident in front of the camera and willing to throw yourself into different situations.
- You have already created video content (especially for TikTok and/or Instagram) and know how to film and edit videos.
- You are proactive, manage your own tasks well, and keep to schedules and agreed deadlines.
- You are interested in the forest industry or have experience in the field and want to show others why the forest sector is actually pretty cool.
- You communicate fluently in both Finnish and English.
- You get along well with different kinds of people.
- You are able to travel within the Helsinki metropolitan area and occasionally elsewhere in Finland, mainly to partner universities’ campuses and member companies’ sites.
It helps you succeed in this role if…
- You already have knowledge, understanding or expertise related to the forest industry, for example through studies in the field or other relevant experience.
- You are familiar with MS Office, video editing software (e.g. CapCut) and other basic IT tools, or you are able to learn them quickly.
- You have a background in communications or marketing (studies, work experience, student organisations, projects, etc.).
The employment contract is fixed-term (1–2 years) and part-time, on average about one day per week. Our office is located in Otaniemi, and we hope you will work there as agreed. Working hours and tasks are flexible and also depend on your own level of initiative. You will be paid for the hours you work.
