The Stock Committee monitors the development of the Association’s investments together with the Board.
The dividends from the Association’s investments cover a significant portion of the activities of the Association and enable the scholarships and grants given out especially to young researchers and students.
The Stock Committee, operating under the supervision and direction of the PI Board of Directors, is responsible for developing the investment assets of the Association’s core operations and the investment assets of the PI Scholarship Fund in order to achieve their objectives. Where necessary, the Committee may also engage external investment professionals to support its assessments.
The Chair and members of the Stock Committee are approved by the PI Annual Meeting based on a proposal submitted by the Board of Directors and the Election Committee. The Committee consists of five members, including the Managing Director. The composition of the Committee should broadly reflect the operating environment of PI’s individual and corporate members and the Committee’s understanding of that environment.
