PI's Autumn Summit 2021, hybrid event

Welcome to PI’s Autumn Meeting and Summit at The National Museum of Finland on 16 November 2021! The Autumn Summit will be held as a hybrid event that can be participated in remotely or in person.

Program
This year, the theme of the event is New innovations from entrepreneurship and speakers include investors and start-up entrepreneurs. The keynote speaker is Alf Rehn, professor of Management and Organisation and other speakers include Jussi Sainiemi, Partner at the Voima Ventures fund, Anni Lähdetie, Patent Examiner at the Finnish Patent and Registration Office and Sami Selkälä, CEO & Founder of Innomost Oy. The final of the ForestBioPitch competition, organised in cooperation with VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, the FinnCERES programme and the Kiuas accelerator will also be held at the Autumn Summit, featuring pitches from the seven competing pairs.

The PI Autumn Meeting will cover the association’s activities, membership issues and grant scholarships and awards.

To finish the meeting, we will also publish the theme of the ForestBioFacts learning environment “Recycled Fibre” and hear a presentation by the editor, professor Samuel Shabel. Read more about the speakers.


At the end of the day join us for networking and buffet dinner from 4.30 pm onwards.

Participation
All parts of the Autumn Summit and Meeting can be participated in both in person or virtually with a remote connection. Some of the presentations will also be given virtually and the event will be held in Finnish and English. When participating remotely, questions and comments can only be posed in writing via a message wall. After the seminar you will have an opportunity to visit the National Museum of Finland.

More detailed instructions regarding participation will be sent after registration, at least one day before the event.
 

Payment methods
After filling out the registration form, you will be redirected to the payment methods page. Payment methods are Net Banking or credit card. If you want to receive paper invoice or e-invoice to your company, please contact PI's office.

Cancellations must be done 5 days prior to the event. If cancelled later, 50 % of the fee will be invoiced. If not cancelled at all, the full fee will be invoiced.


NB! Please note, additional cost of 20 euros will be added for the participating on-site (does not apply to students, new membership applicants and only official issues attendees)

The number of participants of the physical event at The National Museum of Finland can be limited and the organisation will comply with valid instructions by the authorities. If the national vaccination pass is taken into use before 16 November, it may be utilised at the event. All participants must be completely free of any symptoms and everyone may be required to wear surgical face masks or FFP2 masks. Masks will also be available at the event. More detailed instructions will be provided before the event.
