PI, the Jaakko Pöyry Foundation, LUKE, and VTT are jointly supporting Finnish and Finland-based doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers under the age of 35 to participate in the Marcus Wallenberg Young Researchers’ Challenge 2025 in November.
The event offers a unique opportunity to present your research to an international audience and to network with top professionals in the forest industry and academia.

Chance to win:
• Selected applicants will receive a grant of €600 to cover travel to Stockholm and one night of accommodation. The Marcus Wallenberg Foundation will cover the second night.
• The program includes interaction with this year’s prize winners, overview presentations, and networking opportunities with fellow researchers.
• You will have the opportunity to present your research in a “3-Minute Presentation” session to other young researchers and members of the Marcus Wallenberg Prize Selection Committee, who will moderate the session and act as jury. The presentation will be recorded and made available to you.
• A prize ceremony and banquet will be held in the presence of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden.
• A symposium will be held on the theme of this year’s Prize.
• A poster session in connection with the symposium will provide the opportunity to present and discuss your research with leading scientists and industry representatives.
